Anytime Fitness "Free" trial costs £10

Evening all,

Just be aware that the staff at Anytime Fitness will try and charge you £10 for your "free" session.

They argued that you get it off your first month's membership, when you join.

I argued, showed them their website, and they gave in. If a free trial was supposed to show off the gym in a good light, it just made them come across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. They didn't even offer to show me around the gym or sell the benefits to me in anyway. :-/

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/cheap-gym-membership suggests that a 3 day free pass is available. I can't see this on their website but can see a mention of a free 1day session...

1) First you click "Get your Free Trial".

2) Once you've chosen a location you click "Get your trial pass" (https://secure8.clubwise.com/woolwich/Guest_Pass.asp)

3) The clicky Ts&Cs on that page do NOT mention any payment.

4) Enter your details and click "Get Free Trial"

It should be noted that the confirmation email does mention a £10 fee, discounted from your joining fee.

It may be that this is particular to the Woolwich branch.

Good luck, stay healthy.
