Let go in probation

Hi all
I was let go whilst in probation to be honest not unexpected I wasn’t very good at the role and hated the working conditions. (Quick sale estate agency)
None the less my commission came from properties I took on but I don’t get paid commission until the property sells now that could be months but in my eyes I done my part of the job can I ask to be paid for these deals in advance? They will sell it was a quick sale company so I have no doubt all my properties would go. Is there anyway to get the commission for these sales and how would I approach it. It all happened to quickly that I didn’t get a chance to ask questions
Thanks

Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?

Quick answer - It's highly unlikely that you will be able to get the commission. It's pretty standard that commission and other bonuses are only paid to people who are still employed by a company at the time the payment becomes due.0

Excluding unpaid commission were you paid National Living Wage for the time that you were there? If not then you might have a claim to have your pay made up to that level.0

My salary was above national minimum wage but I worked more hours than the standard 40 hours so I probably was less than minimum wageIsn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0

Can you prove this?itsarichmansworld wrote: »My salary was above national minimum wage but I worked more hours than the standard 40 hours so I probably was less than minimum wageDon't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
Whose standard 40? Unless you were forced to work those hours then they don't count for the calculation. Only your contractual hours count. Salaried staff often work more hours than required, but unless there is compulsion, that is your choice to do it.itsarichmansworld wrote: »My salary was above national minimum wage but I worked more hours than the standard 40 hours so I probably was less than minimum wage0
