I couldn't agree more. This is a huge nationwide broker. I cant believe that they require paper copies given that HMRC and most lenders have moved with the times.

Can I ask about his comment re audits? Is that true? Do lenders require brokers to have these on file?
    This sounds purely internal.

We've been audited by Lloyds Banking Group, which covers Halifax, BMS and Scottish Widows Bank. As long as we were able to demonstrate we had gathered their requirements ahead of submitting an application, they were quite happy. They didn't differentiate between ways of evidencing eg self-employed income.

    Nonsense from L & C.

Take the case to another Broker.

Can't say I am surprised, they are a conveyor belt broker firm and make their money via commission via quantity and not through the quality of their service

Hence you generally get what you pay for on this occasion. Zip

I am sure plenty swear by L+C on here, But I would rather not leave things to chance of an inexperienced broker as in this case, especially it involves life changing mortgages e.t.c
