Yes - and if it hadn't been for him the tax year would still be 24th March. How would we have coped with that?0 -

Hmmm - perhaps you were not around when, in 1996/1997 the self-employed moved from a PY basis to CY (almost)? Basically this meant adding two years profits and dividing by two.
It was all going swimmingly until someone realised that 1996 was a leap year and 1 divided by 2 became 365/731. Lots of calculator usage that year.0 -
