Coffee perculator?

Hi all,

I am hoping to have a shiny new kitchen soon and would love to buy a coffee maker. I used to have a basic Russell Hobbs one years ago where you just put the filter paper in, the coffee and then the water runs through into the jug below.

I'm a bit confused with all the coffee makers available - what are these ones with the pods? I already have a cappuccino maker, but it's a faff as you have to clean it before and after using, as it has milk running through it.

Any recommendations please? Nothing too expensive! :eek:
