The Beeb is "delighted to announce the launch of the BBC Good Food Show Scotland in the city of Glasgow - we've brought together the best of what the country is famous for, so prepare to enjoy a fabulous day out!

Watch your favourite chefs Gordon Ramsay, James Martin and Nick Nairn create scrumptious dishes live on stage in the Winter Kitchen. Be inspired by our demonstrations in the Tasting Theatre hosted by CAMRA, Demijohn, The Scottish Cheese Trail, Marta’s Vineyard and Slow Food. Harvey Nichols will also be there demonstrating their fabulous range of food and drink products in both theatres.

Learn how to eat yourself healthy in the Healthy Living Theatre with Wendy Barrie and Andrew Fairlie and explore the wealth of traditionally produced, locally sourced food in the Great British Food Festival. With hundreds of exhibitors offering everything from Loch Fyne salmon to local fare, there really is something to tantalise everyone's taste buds.

We also have the fantastically kitsch 50’s Wiseman Diaries Milk Bar – with milkshakes served up on roller-skates - it's a great, relaxing area for the whole family!

BBC Good Food Show Scotland is also pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Whisky Live – the whisky tasting event of the year where you will discover why Scotland is the whisky centre of the world. So if you'd like find out how to distinguish your 'heathers', from your 'smokeys' or 'caramels' why not upgrade your ticket and visit both shows.

There are tickets to be won, however!

"The BBC Good Food Show Scotland is the first opportunity taking place at the SECC in Glasgow on 2-4 November, then it’s off to the capital for the BBC Good Food Show London at Olympia between 16 and 18 November and the search will come to its end at the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC in Birmingham which takes place between 28 November and 2 December. Members of the judging panel, including Gillian Carter, Editor of BBC Good Food Magazine, Matthew Canwell, Buying Director at Lakeland and Lakeland’s Customer Ambassador Wendy Miranda will also be making an appearance at the Birmingham show. Special guest judge Peter Jones from Dragon’s Den will be coming along to both the London and Birmingham shows to meet budding inventors and talk about their ideas.

Five winners will be selected in each of the two categories and will receive VIP tickets to all BBC Good Food Shows in 2008 and the winners will appear on the BBC Good Food Show website. They will also win a two-night stay in a luxury hotel in the Lake District, a guided tour of Lakeland’s Head Office in Windermere and £500 in gift vouchers to spend in Lakeland’s flagship store. Obviously a bit late but if anyone is still looking for one SAS gives £2 off
Got rid of all my credit card debt, reduced crazy utilities bills, learned to budget, and now trading down to a smaller property. Lurking around the DIY forum.
  • I want to go to this, but don't want to go by myself, and my OH keeps giving me the look of "please, please, don't make me go". Plus the minor problem I'm in uni all day friday, and working all Saturday and Sunday. =(
