Hello guys, I'd like to find out what can I do because my employer ignoring me and don't want to pay what he owes.
Long story short: I started working for that company October 2017. Construction industry. I'm working as self-employed and sending him invoices every week. I'm working on day work rate. There was deposit week, fair enough. He was paying every Saturday. Everything was okey but right now he's haven't paid my wage. Total debt including deposit week : 1800£
Invoices are correct, manager knows that i was working on these days. Also he agrees to be a witness.
Please let me know what legal actions I can take? Thank you guys!

If you're self-employed the company isn't your employer, it's your customer. They aren't failing to pay your wages, they are failing to pay their bills.
First step would be a final letter to the company detailing the debt and giving a date by which it must be paid. If they fail to pay up take it to the Small Claims Court https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/how-to-use-the-small-claims-court0 -
Unless you're working on the Construction Industry Scheme, in which case things may be a bit different (I'm no expert).

Well I am CIS registered. I pay 20% tax rate. But current company doesn't pay tax on my behalf. I am just taking payments from that company and tax is my responsibility.0

Withdraw your labour. Simple.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

As poster above says, they're not your employer, they're your debtor.
Send follow up invoice with interest attached, there's a standard rate if memory serves. Whoever is doing your accounts should know.Union official.
CiPD qualified.
Anything I post is solely MY OPINION. It never constitutes legal, financial or collective bargaining advice. I may tell you based on information given how I might approach an employment dispute case, but you should always seek advice from your own Union representative. If you don't have one, get one!0 -

If there's nothing in the contract then 8% can be asked for via Section 69 of the County Courts Act 1984 (anything granted is at the discretion of the court).I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
