egg and ppi
hi,
i have just received a email from EGG saying that i will not get a refund for the ppi on my credit card as , according to their notes i was sent a letter in 2004 stating that it was included in the agreement, also it appeared on my statements every month. i did notice this last year and subsequently complained and cancelled the ppi. i was advised then that i would not get a refund.
does anyone think i should persue this with the ombudsman? i am self employed and i believe the case would be that they should have advised me at the time not to take out the ppi.
i also have a reduced repayment plan with egg at the moment due to my financial situation.
any advice would be appreciated.

What did the PPI cover?
Just because you are self employed does not mean you were mis-sold the policy.
If you think you have a strong case then contact Egg again stating that you will go to the Ombudsman if they do not look again at your complaint.
They might change their minds or compromise but IMO what they have done (only by reading your post) is technically correct.0
