Preparation and storage of pulses

Options
Hi all

I'm planning on buying dry pulses now as opposed to tinned (cheaper!), if I were to soak and prepare a batch of them, how long would they be able to be stored for?

I've tried googling it, but my googling skills have let me down again.

  • I'm not sure how long they'd keep in the fridge, but they freeze beautifully. I put them in freezer bags (about 2 cups per bag). When i need them for a casserole or curry I just take a bag out, whack it on the counter to break the beans up a bit and add to my dish. They heat through in minutes ;)
