Not received p45

I left my job a month ago and still haven’t had my p45 back. Keep asking my employer for it and she just says she’s chased it with the accountant. I started a new job today. How long does it usually take for it to be sent after leaving a job?

How long is a piece of string? It depends on the efficiency of the payroll processing personnel.
When did you receive your final payslip?
When did the money go into your bank (assuming it was paid in direct from the employer)?
Did you get anything for accrued holiday not taken before your employment ended?0 -
Ours only arrive when the payroll is run, AFTER your last payment. So sometimes we may not ask for a P45 until the month after your last payment was made, especially if you're leaving late in the month. Gives us a chance to pay any leave we owe you.Signature removed for peace of mind0

I was paid week after I left,so mid December. No payroll department, just my boss and her accountant (it’s a small agency). So really I should have had it by now.0
