Ex Wife got half of a loan interest refund
Hi,
New to this but just after a little advice. I recently divorced from my Wife and we had a joint loan with Natwest. In the financial settlement it states "The respondent (me) undertakes to the Court and agrees to be soley responsible for and in any event indemnify the applicant (ex wife) in respect of the payments in relation to the Natwest Loan.
Now a few weeks back I received a letter stating Natwest owed £2000 of interest but paid me £500 and my ex wife £500. I asked her if she would pay the money into the loan account but she has refused. I have since cleared the loan as I was instructed to do by the court order.
Can I claim the money from her? Is she entitled to keep it?
Many thanks in advance.
