What can i use to grind coffee beans other than a grinder?

The husband went out to buy ground coffee & despite picking a bag with coffee BEANS written on the front it he didn't notice until he opened the packet that they weren't ground!

We don't have a coffee bean grinder & was just wondering if a blender or food processer would work?

Thanks

Yes! I think most food processors will deal with coffee beans - just won't get the grind fine enough for, say, espresso. It's not greatly efficient means, but unless your manual says don't, I think it's safe.

Even a mortar and pestle or hammer and clean dish cloth would do!

I've used the blender attachment on the Kenwood for grinding coffee beans with no ill effects to blender or beans!
