Good Afternoon,
I hope you can help, my partner's CV was found on Indeed..a man got in touch with him with a new job. He asked my partner to meet him at a local factory and he signed up and met the Site Manager of the company and start work ''temping''on monday.
I've ask my partner for the agents company details and he wasn't given any. So he's emailed him and got a home address ...I googled it and let's just say it's not what I was expecting
Ummm what do you think? Run for the hills is my gut feeling.
Thanks for any advice:beer:

Does it matter where the agent registers his business?
Surely if your partner has signed up with a company and will start next week there is no issue.
I guess it will depend on what you mean by sign up.0 -
Thank you Pramstay I appreciate your view, my worry is my partner has signed no contract and has no official paperwork from the agent. I fear if he starts work this ''person'' might not pay him...
I really don't know how this works and how to best safegaurd0 -
Speak to the site manager?0

Anyone can register as a recruitment consultant. Chances are they have seen the job on a Company website like many do and just want a cut if you get the job.0

Thanks for the message..this is actually just a temp position for 12 weeks so the payroll goes thru the agent...that really was the main worry0

There's no harm in going tomorrow and seeing what contracts or paperwork have to be completed and asking for confirmation about payment.
The registered address wouldn't bother me although carrying on for too long without any official paperwork would.0
