  • I think the clues are about new books which are about to be brought out in paperback by Penguin.

I think the first one is: A Legacy of Spies by John Le Carre
and the second one is: The Ministry of Utmost Happiness by Arundhati Roy

(I haven't worked out the other two yet)

On Instagram it says: These books all came out last year, with the paperbacks coming out throughout 2018.
Also for the SPY one the hint is : I’ll give you a hint- it’s a revival of sorts and the camera is from the 70s...

Book two is set in Dehli, and the word Ministry is in the pages - which led me to The Ministry of Utmost Happiness

and A Legacy of Spies has an old camera and a picture of a tulip on the cover....

Any more ideas on this yet anyone?

  • I've had a good try, but I found the last two really hard - maybe too much effort just to win four books (much as I love books!), unless someone happened to recognise a book that the clues were talking about....
  • I'm just stuck with number 3... It cannot be Life of Pi as it had to be published in 2017 in hardback, with the paperback coming out this year.

    1. A Legacy Of Spies
    2. The Ministry of Utmost Happiness
    3. ??
    4. Into the Water

Number 4 is definitely Into the Water as I've read it. If you look closely at the notebook, you can see the reference to Nel Abott (correct spelling Nel Abbott - AKA Danielle) which was one of the characters in the story.
  • I keep thinking The Book of Dust for number 3 but I think the cat was Ginger
