I would like to take out a loan in the next few months for the first time. I have switched recently my internet, gas/electric, bank so therefore assume I have been credit scored which may reduce my score. Any ideas how long before I should attempt to apply?

Your score is fictional so can be thoroughly ignored.
Utility searches tend to be ID checks and will not show to lenders. I would not let it deter you from applying for a loan.0
