  • Karcher, ‘my get up and go’ seems to waiver between ‘gone’ and ‘think I’ll turn up for a couple of hours’. At the moment it is gone but I think I have glimpsed it trying to return:T

Mrs SD I suspect your GUAG may have eloped with mine.

All not lost though; I have managed another module of my online Dog Behaviour Training course.

Nelski I'm currently on Lancashire Farms low-fat yogurt with honey & raspberries and a handful of granols chucked on - I too tried the Skyr and found it not for me!!

  • Nelski I didn't like that yogurt much either. Nasty taste and odd texture.
I have decided that I'd quite like to exist on a diet of marmite toast, mince pies, avocados and salad. With the odd side trip into other things but only if I actually want them. Like chocolate, I still have Christmas chocolate.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Redruby - Was is one of those big automated machine car washes? Or a hand wash place?
    .

Hi Speky it was one of those big automated ones, my car was brand new in march and I came away from the car wash with a 12 inch scratch on the drivers door and three other smaller ones all down one side, also I got a mouthful of abuse from the two blokes in the car wash and they were pulling faces at me  I have contacted the head office who have basically told me I don't have a leg to stand on ! The chap who fixed the scratches today said they were caused by a sharp bit of metal scraping down the side, it cost me £260 today  I am still Fighting them, Floss thanks for the advice I will get on to TS xx

    Have good evenings all xx

Thanks Ill keep an eye open for that. I may stir in a pound of butter ala James Martin and a lot of sugar ....that should make it more palatable but in truth I feel its heading for the bin

LameWolf, well done with the course.

I :rotfl: eloping GUAG;) I was correct, my GUAG paid a visit long enough to clean & declutter the bathroom shelf & deep window sill. Several items decluttered to bin or recycling. Unfortunately GUAG departed as quickly as it came! Hopefully it will make an appearance tomorrow so I can sort the bathroom cabinet.

My GUAG has definitely left the building. Joint pain tonight is keeping me awake, so strong possibility of rain on the way My bones are more accurate than the Met Office :)

Spoke on the phone to Frank's wife Margaret tonight and she is going through it at the moment .Frank has been deteriorating over the past few days and the nurses have now upped his morphine, and its in his driver thats attached to him ,and she has been told that if he needs more in between the four hour shots she can give him 5m if needed, bless her she is exhausted and only gets catnaps on the sofa by his bed at the moment

Its an awful situation for an old lady of 81 to be in, she was crying to me on the phone as she says she is trying to keep it altogether in front of the rest of the family poor love, I only wished there was something I could do for her ,but she says just being able to have a quick natter with me when he is asleep helps I don't think it will be much longer and I jsut hope he isn't in pain too much They have been married 62 years and its such a sad thing to happen to such a lovely bloke

Right I'm going to make a hot water bottle and a cup of cocoa and maybe that will get me off to sleep

Good Night God bBlees all here

So sorry Jackie. At least Margaret has supportive family around her and I'm sure they would cope if she gave way to her emotions. Poor love, trying to be strong for everyone else shows an inner strength that you have to admire. How wonderful that she has someone like you there to keep her going.

Sorry too for the painful joints. You would be an asset to the met office, they could hang you outside their back door like a piece of seaweed to warn them of approaching rain.

I'll pray for a peaceful passing for Frank, strength and courage for Margaret and a pain-free sleep for you.
