Got a new job will it affect my mortgage application

I have been in my new job for 2 months now (permanent and full time) and me and my husband are buying a new house.
He has been in his job for over 5 years and earns twice as much as I do, despite me earning a good wage anyway.
We need to go sign up for our mortgage and they have asked for 3 months payslips and I only have two with this being a new job.
Given that I am applying with my husband, I am wondering if the lender will be happy given that I am not doing the application by myself and we have the security of his job to cover the mortgage regardless of my wage.
Should I wait for my third payslip and delay the purchase or do you think it would not be a problem signing up now?
Any advise is much appreciated.
Many Thanks

This is a perfectly normal, everyday kind of issue.
Your lender will tell you how it wants to deal with it. It might want to write for a reference, it might ask you for a copy of your contract. It might ask for your last payslip from your previous job.
We can speculate all day, but only you know who you are applying to and only you can get the right answer, first time.I am a mortgage broker. Our lender is the Natwest.
I don't have any payslips from my last job (stupidly enough I binned them!!!) and trying to get copies form them, will be like getting blood from a stone.
I work for a Solicitor whom I am using for my actual solicitor for our purchase too, so should be ok to get a reference should they need one.
Do you think I should get the reference letter in readiness for the appointment?
You don't foresee there being an issue?
I changed jobs the last time we bought with Natwest and it was ok, but as it's for a bigger house this time and a higher loan amount (which we can happily afford) I just want to make sure everything is ok.0 -
No. Never start getting letters until you know what you are getting. Some want it addressed to the lender itself, some want it addressed to you. Others want to send a form to be completed and stamped.

Ok great stuff, thank you.
We shall see what they say when we go to our appointment in a couple of weeks. At least it is something they deal with all the time.
Many Thanks0 -
I was in a similar boat with NatWest, their criteria was (and I assume still is but didn't check) that you have to have been in continuous employment for 6 months.
I gave them payslips from my new job, and they asked for the employment dates / name of Employer of my previous job - they didn't ask for payslips, but I also bank with NatWest so they could see my wages being paid in monthly which they seemed to be ok with.0
