Mmmhh.... now that is interesting.....I don't recall an option to print anything off....I wonder if I should have another look at it tomorrow......Jack.Retired (Early) April 20150

Mr S applied on line a couple of weeks ago - he immediately received a confirmation e-mail with a reference number to quote should he need to query anything.0

Thanks for that......I have just tried to claim online again , it now won't let me back into the claim process, saying that my invitation code has been entered wrongly......but it hasn't.......I thought that I should have received a confirmation email, as per my original post.....I think that I may have made rather a mess of things this end......I also think perhaps another 'phone call tomorrow will be in order.......JackRetired (Early) April 20150

Talking to someone last night, and they were told the same, that you can't apply for your pension, on the 'phone, until TWO months before you are due to receive it......has anyone found this to be the case ?.......should I wait until March 1st before I ring again ? (pension is due 30th April) as the guy said, or should I ring again now ? and see if I can get help with the online application ?......any thoughts welcome......Jack.Retired (Early) April 20150

That's correct - you can't apply by phone more than 2 months B4 pension is due. You have nothing to lose if you phone now and ask about your online access code, but as time is on your side, probably wait until 1st March and apply by phone. It may be a lot easier and you can ask to have your pension paid weekly if that's your preference.0

It would seem that once you have used the invitation code, it becomes null and void, even if the application fails.......a very nice lady on one of the freephone numbers has re-set things for me, and I will receive an activation code within 7 days.....I think maybe the 'phone call on March 1st is the better option though.....it seems that as from 28thFeb. the online option to claim SP is being updated.......Jack.Retired (Early) April 20150

Just an update.......I have now made my claim online.....this time it has gone through, but there is no confirmation email because DWP don't ask for your email address during the claim procedure.....however, at the end of the process there is an option to either print out, as mgdavid said, or save the application form, which I have done.......and it tells you that
the application has gone to be processed......just a waiting game now.........Jack.Retired (Early) April 20150
