E: 25/10 Win a canvas print and luxury camera bag (photography effort)

We are looking for your striking pictures of the historic county of Yorkshire and one lucky amateur photographer will receive a canvas print of their photograph worth £90 and a a luxury camera bag worth £165.

In each monthly print edition of Dalesman the editor will select one of the pictures for publication and at the end of the year a winner will be selected from those published during 2018.

Each entrant can submit up to 25 entries and photographs should ideally be in a landscape format and at least A4 in size at 300dpi.

Email entries to photos@dalesman.co.uk along with your name, daytime telephone number and address, plus details of the photograph’s location. Please do not send emails larger than 20mb in size.

Entrants must not be professional photographers (ie paid for their pictures on a regular basis).

Images must be in landscape format. The images can be sent digitally, or through the post, though prints cannot be returned without an SAE. Ideally, digital images need to be at least A4 in size at 300dpi.

There is no guarantee of inclusion in the magazine and only the best of those images submitted will be selected by the editor for inclusion in the magazine.

The overall winner will be the person whose image is selected as the best by the judging panel from those shortlisted by the editor and published in Dalesman magazine.

Photographs sent to us must be entirely your own work and must not infringe on the rights of any third party. Appropriate permissions must have been obtained if necessary.

Country Publications Ltd does not claim ownership of any content that you send us and you retain the worldwide copyright and any other intellectual property rights.

However, in submitting your photographs, you grant Country Publications Ltd and its sponsors a royalty-free non-exclusive worldwide licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, your images, along with your name and town of residence, for any purpose connected with the competition.

This may include, but is not limited to: Country Publications’ magazines, guides, books websites, calendars, promotional material, or other products.

Country Publications may also sub-license your images to the media and to the competition’s sponsors for reproduction in connection with the competition only.

Any content submitted remains the copyright of the photographer and may not be copied and used for any purpose other than that stated above without prior permission from the photographer and Country Publications Ltd.

The Editor’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The closing date for entries to this competition is 25 October 2018.

The winner will be informed by 31 January 2019.

The prize is not transferable or available as cash alternative. If for any reason, the prize offered is not available, an alternative prize, of a similar value, will be given.

If the winner is unable to be contacted within one calendar month of the competition’s closing date, we reserve the right to offer the prize to a runner-up.
