Hi Adam,
I have only read the first page but know you will get lots of good advice from most of the posters.
The NHS is still one of the best pension schemes available.
You pay in about 9% of your earning and the NHS ( your employer even if it's called a trust ) pays in over 20%
You pay your 9% before Tax and NI so costs less than 9%
Do not under any circumstances believe anyone who tells you to transfer to a private/ Pension provider.
They do not offer the same benefits or life assurance, Spouse pension etc.
If your going to climb the NHS career ladder and earn anywhere near the £1050,000 limit that you can save into a pension over your career then consider other ways to save.0 -
Click on the cog wheel, top right of your post and select Edit, then remove the statement.Joannethompson said:How do I delete it please 🙋🏻♂️1 -

Sometimes it is transparent but if you hover over the right end of the blue bar above your post, the option appears as a hand symbol.Joannethompson said:I'm thick as !!!!!! and can't find a cog wheel and proper freaking now 🙈

I have reported the post as you wanting the attachment removed. Not sure how long it would take to do that though.Joannethompson said:How do I delete it please 🙋🏻♂️
If it is any consolation, when I clicked on it originally I just got a PDF document full of 0's and 1's and absolutely nothing else apart from the odd blue line so it looks like it is corrupted anyway or maybe it is my PC.0 -
It previously showed with complete details for me.garmeg said:If it is any consolation, when I clicked on it originally I just got a PDF document full of 0's and 1's and absolutely nothing else apart from the odd blue line so it looks like it is corrupted anyway or maybe it is my PC.
OP has managed to remove it now though

If you still want help, paste a redacted version removing your personal details (DOB, NINO etc) and we can take a look.Joannethompson said:How do I delete it please 🙋🏻♂️
No point hiding your name, unless your user name isn't your real name.
A precis of the numbers should suffice alternatively.1 -
The amount that you pay for your pension is not 9%. It varies depending on your salary & varies between 5% & 14.5% with those on higher salaries contributing more.dimbo61 said:Hi Adam,

Average life expectancy at pension age is over 20 years so your your pension amounts to an extra 40% of your salary paid in retirement.0
