Requested credit agreement but have not received - what next?

Hi all, I have requested the credit agreement for an old debt (which you all very kindly helped me with). So I received a letter back saying they could not get it in the 12 days and needed 40 days which has now well passed. So what is my next step is there a template letter I can use? Oh and they did cash the £1 cheque I sent with the original request.

Hi,

You don't need to do anything at all.

Until the company comply with your request, the debt remains unenforceable in court, and you are not required to make any payments to the debt.

These requests for information, can take time, the timescale given is just a basic guide, not a mandatory requirement, it normally takes up to three months, but can be longer, the longer it takes, the less likely it is they will find it.
