Today I bought the remaining Oxtail at the supermarket butchers counter cos it was reduced - but its only a couple of chunks (200g) - any tips for what I could do with it? There's two of us (but OH has a big appetite) - I did find an oxtail ragu / pasta recipe that sounded quite nice and thought maybe i could just make it with less meat than specified and add some extra veg or beans instead maybe? most of the recipes i can find online using oxtail seem to specify huge quantities!

You need loads to use as meat because of the high proportion of bone. Soup might be a term bet.
Oxtail is really nice but all of a sudden seems to be fashionable and expensive. I saw some lovely oxtail in the butchers a while ago - but it was more expensive than stewing steak!0
