It ain't for the goodness of others its to save them costs manufacturing cups0

My biggest annoyance is often when I tell the Starbucks staff I want to drink in and I still get a paper cup. They could cut down on waste and rubbish and offer a better service simply by making sure their staff actually do their job properly and use ceramic cups!0

That's a good point.
What about drinks that have to go in a plastic cup i.e. the cold stuff (for when it's a bit warmer)
Anyway they could just raise their prices by 5p across the board and people will still keep paying for their coffees.
I rarely drink coffee at these sorts of places (less than once a month) and I'm not going to be carrying a cup around, so I guess I will be a victim of this surcharge.0 -
Our country just gets dafter and dafter. Better make sure I now carry around my empty shopping bags and an empty mug in case I fancy shopping or going for a hot drink anywhere... There are many more priorities to be dealt with by MPs and our Government, much, much more.0

I have never set foot in a Starbucks or Costa Coffee or independent for that matter. And don't intend to do so anytime soon. The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -

How about those for soft drinks in fast food restaurant?0
