Redemption statements to completion

We were hoping to have completed yesterday but due to some delays with the solicitors they only requested redemption statement from current lender the last working day before Xmas. I can see it was received by solicitors yesterday. How long between receiving that can completion be set? I really don’t want to be on svr with current lender for too long and we have building work waiting to start. The solicitors said no need for me to contact them as they will notify me when in a position to complete... typically how long are we looking??

Okay good to know. The delay is their error as they lost then re found the seed and questionnaire which put us back about 2 weeks so I’m hoping they hurry up. Although the redemption statement was received on the 2nd and no word from them yet0
