Well i've finally decided I can no longer continue in the situation I am in and I want to better myself and my life. My problems have come from a few things regarding work..........
I am 24 years old (25 in Feb) I have a long term girlfriend but no kids, I liked to think I was a bright student at school and was flying through my A-Levels when things got bad.
At almost 17 I was half way through my A-Levels (Biology and Media Studies = great variety) due to family problems and some unexpected responsibilities I had to leave school (and my a-levels) and get a job, quickly.
So for the next 2 and a half years I worked in 2 different factories and I had a 3 month stint handling blue prints and also was a barman. I also had a few months of unemployment in there aswel.
By luck I had the chance to work as a childrens sports coach and this meant I was able to gain an entry level certificate through a course which I loved, and after a year of that I agreed to help my best friend start up his own business doing the same thing. I initially thought this could lead to better things for me :j
Well my 3rd year now and the business has grown and is making a profit but sadly I feel used. I get paid an average weekly wage of £55
(£15 on that goes on transport costs) and after many broken promises I need to convince myself to get out. I've been lucky enough to have some help with my rent from housing benefit and my girlfrend chips in too but I am slipping into debt from a mixture of bills and loans. At first I stayed as I didn't want to let down my friend but now I see how he splahes his cash around and drives a new car and can afford holidays while I have to scrimp, save and borrow to pay bills and buy shopping.
This may sound selfish and jealous but I want more from life, I want a mortgage, I want to learn to drive, I want to be able to take my girlfriend out for a meal and buy her a nice present. I want to be able to buy more than 2 items of clothing a year, and I would love a holiday.
If I gave myself a new-years resolution to get a new job I dont have a clue where to start.
I really dont want to go the factory route again. I miss education, I loved learning but now this costs ££££
If I did get a job it would need to cover my rent...This is why im stuck in a rutt.
I have soo many interests that choosing a job/career would be difficult. I like the medical side of sports, especially physiotherapy. I also like media (journalism) but don't think im good enough now.
I enjoy working with children (school teaching or classroom assisstants?)
I just cant decide
I know most of you would wonder how I let myself get stuck with all this but unfortunately I want to be a nice guy, this does mean I get trampled on.
Sorry this is sooooo long (its actually the short version) but I do need help. What is next for me....What direction do I take?
I know this is mainly down to me but any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou.

How many hours a week are you working? To be legal, you can't really be working any more than 10hrs a week.
If you're working more than that, take the guy to an Industrial Tribuneral as he's been breaking the law by paying you less than the national minimum wage.
Screw him. He obviously seems to have no issues screwing you over.0 -
could you get a job in a sports centre or with your local sure start and do night school or OU?Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0

Due to the nature of my work I only work about 8 hours a week although if you throw in travel and setting up sessions and packing away, talking to parents/teachers and dishing out letters/promotions this adds up to about 3 hours a day so about 15 hours but I only get paid for the sessions I do, not travel or anything else.
I am taking a trip to our local adult college on friday to see whats on offer, I would like night courses on something and im hoping that if I look at their courses it might help me decide what to aim for.0
