MI Group mis-sold Endowment -

Hello all,
My partner had an endowment policy with MI Group that was likely to have been mis-sold so we would like to try to make a claim.
Just wondered if anyone else knew who to contact re. this company. They don't feature on the excellent, MSE -recommended Resolver site and I can't find an obvious contact via Google searches.
Totally realise nothing may come of this at this late stage but would like to, at least, try.
Any pointers as to contact details gratefully received.
And a Happy, Money-Saving New Year to all forum members!

Wins include: Cushelle Koala Bear; signed Terry Pratchett book; tickets to Noisettes; Glenlivet Whisky; tickets to Henry Moore exhibition, Beyonce, ABBA world plus Red Letter Days Aston Martin driving experience. Still trying for holiday and car! Good luck everyone.

'MI Group' was a later incarnation of Bristol's 'Merchant Investors' of the 1980s.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct. Merchant Investors ended up at Sanlam IIRC.otally realise nothing may come of this at this late stage but would like to, at least, try.
Yes. With over 3/4 of endowments timebarred nearly a decade ago, you are certainly late to the party. The 3/6 year rule should be pretty easily applied if they wish to.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Thank you both for taking the time to reply.
Dunstonh, I guess you're saying there's no point in us trying to claim. Assuming so, thanks for taking the time to say so.Wins include: Cushelle Koala Bear; signed Terry Pratchett book; tickets to Noisettes; Glenlivet Whisky; tickets to Henry Moore exhibition, Beyonce, ABBA world plus Red Letter Days Aston Martin driving experience. You can try. You may be in the minority that is not timebarred.
For reference, for them to timebar you, it must be more than 6 years from the start of the policy and three years from you being reasonably aware of an issue. If the mid rate projection on the statements showed a shortfall figure, that is classed as sufficient to trigger the start of the three year clock. Most of these started in the early 2000s.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. I just came across a document from MI Group. It is a Programme Schedule detailing programme numbers, start date, my personal details (DOB), amount payable, programme benefit date Nov 2023. I remember very clearly going to this company in the west end of London in a very plush office and there were hundreds of people doing the same.0

I know I’m even later to the party, but I’ve been chasing the MI Group too. My pension was transferred to Cannon Lincoln (plush offices in WE?) and now it’s with Canada Life Financial. Hope it might help.0
