Todays daft question... ?

How soon after application will Natwest request extra statements if they require them? Im trying to figure out what date this month is best to apply when I get my next months payslip on the 24th which will be a little bit less £2800 than my previous 4 payslips all of approx £3450 then my one before that was about £1600? If we provide 3 payslips at first they will be really good ones then if they request extra payslips then they will be a bit of a mix.... just trying to get my timing perfect!

What do you mean by a mix? If you mean spending, dont worry. If you mean bouncing DDs then its a little different.

Oh no they are all absolutely fine spending wise, intact we've been putting between £3-4k a month into savings for the past 6 months for our deposit, I've never bounced a direct debit either nor do we have an overdraft. I mean the amount I'm paid as I'm commission based.

If you are paid commission monthly they will want 6 months payslips.

So when will they want the other 3, will it be as soon as we apply? Im trying to figure out what date is the best date to apply, before the Jan payslip is due and then they will request the extras a week later or wait till after I've had it?

    Jan payslip - Pretty good
    Dec payslip - Excellent
    Nov payslip - Excellent
    Oct payslip - Excellent
    Sept payslip - Excellent
August - Crap just over my basic

They will ask for 3 payslips because that is standard for all applications. But if it were me, I would be submitting all 6 on application because it would save time as they will come back and ask for the rest within a day or 2 anyway.

Thanks Chrissie, is that with Natwest? thankfully I'm monthly paid so not so many to send ill get the broker to send over the 6 months right from day one so not to hold up the process! :)
  • Yes it was Natwest. Good luck
