Halifax Agreement in Principle received

Hi all
I've received an Agreement in Principle from Halifax for a 60% ltv remortgage which includes debt consolidation and borrowing more for life event and an extension.
They have only requested one payslip so far. Don't Halifax request bank statements?
Is the AIP worth anything as it's based on a soft search. My broker said that they are unlikely to find anything on the credit file from a full search that they already haven't seen from the soft search. I suspect this is as he's reviewed my full credit report already. Does this hold true though?
It's a waiting game now which I hate but just wanted to get others opinion. Especially those that have gone through the Halifax process.
Cheers and Happy New year

Been a few years, I sent last 3 pay slips via fax after the agreement in principle and that was it. Halifax did everything over the phone.

Thanks. Just a bit nervous like everyone at this stage. Now new year in between so longer to wait.
