So today from the minute I got up I've felt like pants :( I have a tickly throat, I ache all over and I'm fed up as I had this in the Christmas holidays and don't need it all over again

I've come home from work and got straight in the bath to warm up and then was in bed by 6:30  Hopefully a good nights sleep will sort me out as I'm too busy at work to take time off :o

Not much else to add today, still trying to get to today's Swagbucks goal, we've got ds homework done - he came and sat on the bed with me and did it. We need to talk through his interview tomorrow but other than that I don't really have any other plans this evening :)

Another day of highs and lows ...

    1. Super super proud of ds who went for his interview and then got a phone call about an hour later offering him the job :j :j He starts on Friday, is doing 4-6 pm on whichever days he chooses and is so happy and chuffed with himself :D:D I don't remember the last time I saw him so happy :T :T :T

    2. Mum had a call from the hospital today - they have spoken to her GP and think she may have had another TIA at Xmas, and she has to go in on Thursday for tests / scans ... that's what we told them when we took her there on xmas eve   I now need to ask work for time off to take her which won't go down well as I already get given time for ds Camhs appointments. I will offer to go in on the inset day instead but was looking forward to spending that day with ds

Well done to your ds! My 9yr old is high functioning asd and hearing stories like yours really fills me with hope for the future (he is fine, healthy and wonderful, but I know there are definitely areas he will struggle) knowing there are families further on in their asd journeys helps me and my little unique one.

I've somehow made it through the week, really not sure how, I've had a stinking cold and have gone to bed pretty much as soon as I've got home from work each day.

Today is an inset day and for the first time in the 11 years that I've been there they've let some of us admin staff have the day off as we're owed time from before the Ofsted visit :D It's much needed today although would have helped if I'd remembered to turn the alarm off  Never mind, at least I can stay in bed with the laptop :)

Today ds starts his job (4pm), he is quite nervous but so so excited too. Other than that his plans are a lie-in, a bit of homework and playing on his computer, mine are quite similar, I have schoolwork I want to catch up with, surveys etc to do and getting back up to speed with life really :D

I have cashed in swagbucks for a £10 Amazon voucher this morning, apparently the Amazon and M&S vouchers will not be at the sale price on there for much longer if anyone needs to cash out ;)

  • Great news on DS' job - hope he enjoyed his first day.

Hope you feel better soon - I have been doing similar this week, in bed not long after getting home from work - this whopping cough has a lot to answer for.

Hope you have a good weekend
