I may have brought some Waitrose vanilla liqueur extra thick cream yesterday @ 49 P instead of £1.52. (They also had reduced fresh brandy cream and brandy butter, all good until the 10 th Jan.)

Most of the M&S Christmas food I saw was marked down to 50p -

300g packet brandy sauce (bbd 10/2018)

330g jar of plum pudding chutney (bbd 11/18)

300g jar cranberry & port sauce (bbd 07/18)

195g jar brandy butter (bbd 05/18)

250ml bottles of bloody mary ketchup (contains vodka & Worcestershire sauce) (bbd 09/18)

plus large jars of turkey gravy, poss 500g,

Also saw tubs of brandy butter in the chiller cabinets for 40p or 50p, depending on the type you bought.

For me, the real star was 800g of festive Armagnac-soaked fruit mix for.....25p!! The bbd is 05/18. I bought a couple of these when they were reduced to 75p and made a bread pudding, and a bread and butter pudding using them - delicious!

went to get some more of the amazing M&S bloody mary ketchup and found these -

215g jar of chestnut chutney (bbd 10/18), £1

225g jar of mulled wine jelly (bbd 02/19), 50p

both in nice square jars, lovely in a food hamper, particularly if you can get the 2019 dates
