Token Payment by bank transfer

Options
1) I send token payment to my creditors by bank transfer, and use my 16 digit credit card number as Reference number while doing bank transfer. Once the validity date printed on credit card is over, can I still use the same reference number to make token payment?

2) If my credit card is in arrears, will the bank send me new credit card once validity of previous card is over? Same question for current account card, if current account overdraft payment is in arrears?

    (1) This is a bad idea, surly you must use the account number as a reference when making a payment ?

When a card expires, you normally receive a new one anyway.

    (2) I very much doubt it, but it depends how long its been in arrears.
