Remortgage or go to variable

Options
Hi folks,
I'm after some advice..my current 2 year fixed deal is due to come to an end in Feb but im looking to possibly try and sell my flat and therefore list it in January.
Should i remortgage to another fixed deal but run the risk of paying early repayment fees if and when o sell; or should i let my existing product go to variable until i can sell the flat. Therefore avoiding any early repayment or exit fees. What would be the best way to go about this?

Work out the costs of doing it both ways

if you take a lower rate the longer it takes to sell the more you will save from any ERC and fees to switch.

if planning to buy you could add porting to your options.
  • Thank you for the reply, yes i do plan to buy another place..what do you mean by `add posting` as an option?
