Nationwide mortgage and completion

I'm wondering if someone can help me.
I am due to complete on my first mortgage in about a weeks time and had a few questions about completion day.
I have seen some people mention on other forums that the lender has credit checked them one final time on completion. I have checked my credit report and the balance on one of my credit cards has not been updated to show that it is cleared, this is a condition of my mortgage. I have paid it all off as required but will this cause a problem on completion?
My mortgage is with Nationwide and they have already checked my credit twice (the last one was on 21st November), so surely they wouldn't check again?
My solicitor confirmed that the money was released from the lender on Friday, so is it just left to the solicitors to finalise things now?
Sorry for all the questions but I am new to this and I'm worrying that something will go wrong at the last minute.
Any advice/replies would be greatly appreciated. I think I am worrying for nothing but would appreciate your thoughts.

They may well do a another credit check but they won’t rely on that to see if your credit card is paid off. If it is a condition of the mortgage, it will be for your/ their solicitor to confirm that the condition has been met.0

Me and my partner are also currrently going through the stages of securing out first home and mortgage. Nationwide have come up as being one of the better deals for our lending needs.
A few questions:
Did you use a Broker to deal with your Mortgage?
How did you find Nationwide as a lender to deal with in regards to paperwork requirements etc?

I'm in the same boat as yourself and about to start the mortgage application process. The searches I've done so far brings up Nationwide as one of the best so would be interested in any answers to your questions.0

Sorry to hijack this thread on you but we are hoping to start a mortgage application and Nationwide from research seem to be the best. Can I ask how many bank statements they requested? I think we might have to wait until Feb as my October statement is a bit messy and don't want to risk it0

How have you come to the conclusion Nationwide are 'the best'. What has driven that outcome?I am a Mortgage Broker.
