Storage of household items where and how much ???

Im looking into gettin some work done in my place, such as, plastering rewiring, and some changes to kitchen and bathroom . As i have 2 small kids (3+2) im hoping to get all the work down about the same time and have the children out the house with friends and grandparents during working hours so they are not disrupted. I have a small place and no storage places so im wondering if anyone have ever put their stuff into storage and their opinions of it.

If you have can you tell me costs and is there time limits on how long you can keep it for or anything else you discovered if you did it. Any advice or opinions are welcome.

I used this firm http://www.storage-belfast.com/home.htm Belfast Self Storage when I was moving house. We took the smallest container and it had enough room for all our books, videos, dvds and a couple of small furniture items. I was so glad I did it this way, meant we could show our flat to its best advantage and I wasn't constantly falling over stuff.

I think if you drop in wiht them they'll show you the spaces, I know it's hard to get a sense in your own mind of the sizes.
