Boots Sale

If it is a Wednesday then the 10th but as they went with a Friday last year who knows. Only thing I am sure of is they will not have decided yet and it will depend how much stock they have to shift.
I went and bought some bits at Boots this morning at 50%, just a few items, more so I have things in for my workmates and DD's school friends and teachers and a couple of bits for DD for next year. I went back about an hour before they closed and the shelves were shot to pieces. Still several of the item I'd like at 70% off though, it's too expensive even at 50% off.0 -
Nah not the 10th, too early. JMO but having changed it to Friday for 2017, I'd be surprised if they went back to a Wednesday for 2018.

Agree, massively over priced in the first place! I'll get a few bits but I'm not going mad this year, there's bargains to be had all year round nowadays, I do enjoy it thou :rotfl:0 -
14 Jan 2009 3rd week - counting 1st week which had 3 x January dates
20 Jan 2010 3rd week - not counting 1st week which had just 2 x January dates
19 Jan 2011 3rd week - not counting 1st week which had only 1 x January date
18 Jan 2012 3rd week
16 Jan 2013 3rd week
15 Jan 2014 3rd week
14 Jan 2015 3rd week - counting 1st week which had 3 x January dates
It was the (kind of) 3rd week in Jan for 7 years.
BUT it changed pattern in 2016 (same/same calendar as 2010):
13 Jan 2016 2nd week - not counting 1st week which had 2 x January dates.
Then last year's curve ball - a Friday launch day for the first time ever.
20 Jan 2017 3rd week
So predictions for 2018? Wed 17 or Fri 19 Jan 2018 :rotfl:0 -

Not the 17th as that is one of their regular promotion changes, which was the reason it wasn't on the Wednesday last year due to workload for stores. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

The holiday planner has gone up at work today, but 2 of my workmates have 6 days of AL from this year rolling over and have to take them before end of Jan and one of them is waiting for a baby's arrival to use the time and we can't be off together, so it's very, very doubtful I can try and guess the day and go. If I were able to though and this is purely a guess, I'd go for Jan 19th, if I was really, really hedging my bets and had enough hols I'd book 17th, 18th and 19th off. :rotfl:0 -
Yes spendless I believe it was 2010 when snow delayed the sale due to getting stock (and prob staff) to stores. Plus it's not good for business if customers try and get out early on the icy roads and have an accident either
I got a few nice bits yesterday when I popped in so don't really need anything as such, but might see nearer the time. I just need to be mindful not to get carriers away, one year i bought the S&G big set for myself as a treat but really only wanted a couple of items out of it which was a bit of a false economy.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Talking to a member of staff in a store late this afternoon and apparently the warehouse in Nottingham will be empty by end of today and tomorrow will be the last delivery into stores of Christmas stock. Then what is there is what is there, they have been told not to move stock between stores due to the costs involved, this is a regional decision.
But who knows. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

So no more, or rather not as much for me.Where I did find expensive, partly because I left it to the last minute
, partly because there's several of them was buying for my workmates and DD's dram teachers (5 of each). I'd have had the same dilemma for DD's mates had I not already got something in the sale. So, these items I've bought and DD just a branded coin purse, so next year I can put xmas money in and she can go brave the sales without me. :rotfl:

My local looked depleted when I popped in tonight, all Barr a few large S&G star gifts, presumably they'll have more stock out the back ready to fill up with though as usually seems to happen. Not checked out m larger local yet though.0
