But somehow this isn't quite as bad and scary as I thought.
Well done. This really could be quite manageable if you can get some advice and help dealing with your creditors.

Great sister, good news about the chicken.
I learned my lesson about UFO's (unidentified frozen objects) some years ago when I cooked fresh vegetables and a previously frozen shepherds pie. SIL was visiting and dished up for me, I rushed back into the kitchen when she snorted loudly. On the plate in front of her was apple crumble, carrots and greens!

This reminds me of the time when Mum bought a load of unlabled tins from the factory where my Nana worked - we had to try and guess whether we were opening a tin of peas or soup, by shaking the tin!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Gather that you are not going to take this stunning bit of advice?
On a more serious note, is your current situation a result of following this sort of suggestion from him in the past?
whatever, glad that the world is looking a beter place. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I cut my credit card up a while ago, so I couldn't even if I wanted to
And I can't blame him completely. He was very much "gotta have it now", and also he lost money. He claims he lost his wallet with £100 in several times, and once it had my library card in too! He also disapproves of Value brands, although I think I'm soon going to live in a Co-op own brand house!
And I spoke to work today. They're going to give me a cash advance tomorrow, although I'm not sure if it will be for all of my wages or only some. But that's great, because at least I'll have it straight away.
Oh, and I'm currently doing something involving a chicken carcass and a slow cooker for dinner tomorrow. I'm not quite sure how it will turn out though...Proud to be dealing with my debts
