Credit card debt sold to debt company

Hi. Hope someone can give me some advice. I was declared bankrupt the beginning of August and I've had a letter off mbna saying they have sold my debt to a debt company. How does this effect me as I thought that debts included in bankruptcy are written off. Thanks in advance for any help or info.

It doesn't effect you at all.
The debt is written off, the debt company have bought something worthless. It would have been packaged with a lot of other debts, some will be fruitful to the debt company and some won't. Don't worry, the debt company would have paid pennies to the pound for these debts.

you could send the debt collection agency a copy of your bankruptcy order, this way you wont get any harrassing calls or letters0
