Rail travel on 10th Jan, Woking - Weymouth

Just caught half a story that concerns me regarding rail strike. We fly in to Heathrow late on Jan 9th and stay in hotel overnight. On the 10th we are due to get train from Woking to Weymouth, tickets bought for use that day. Could someone please advise me if that service will be operational on the 10th please.

This seems to refer to a New Year strike, but can't see any mention of SouthWest Trains

OP, have you thought about looking at the rail operator's website?

It currently says on their strike information page:

Plans for the 8th, 10th and 12th January are coming soon.

Perhaps you can extrapolate their New Year's Eve plans and guess what might happen on your date.

One option might be to travel to Weymouth via Reading and Westbury.

Las time trains ran from Woking to Poole but less frequently than usual. Poole to Weymouth was a bus replacement service. Their map for 31 Dec strike says rail replacement again for this bit.

I will look and see what time we land on the 9th then see how frequent or how late trains run that evening. What I don't want though is for a train to stop running at midnight irrespective of where it is.
