ESA and PIP

I have been claiming ESA and PIP for 3 years and have worked hard on my health issues and am now better able to start to look for employment. To this end I applied for seasonal work and have been successful. Do I simply telephone the PIP and ESA and tell them that I have a job?

In the New Year I also intend to return to university to complete my PhD

  • Well done!

You can still claim PIP if you work but if you've worked on your health issues you'll still need to tell them there's been a change to your condition.
You need to inform ESA so they can stop paying this benefit.
  • Thank you. A bit nervous as I need to start a fresh claim for Housing Benefit etc and council tax, I already receive these but will need to make a fresh claim with my new employment status. Its only 10 days of work but am very excited. :-)
