Whilst there is no guarantee that Toys R Us will make good their pension scheme shortfall, the seven figure salary of top management is guaranteed.
About 30% of the workforce are probably off up the road as well, no guarantee, but probably.....

After the £80 million deficit from Palmer and Harvey last month, you really must look in to your company pension.

I see the Pension Protection Fund has won - but only by getting the £9mil over 3 years. Let's hope that T-4-U lasts long enough to put the money in before the rest of us have to stump up to keep the private equity owner in new Lamborghinis.

If the Company goes under. Then there's no money at all for the pension fund. In essence no different to many trading companies who are making additional payments every year to resolve pension scheme deficits. Toy R Us is just the tip of the iceberg. I have a defered pension with a scheme that closed to new members 19 years ago. Still underfunded to this day.
