Cheap 1GB laptop memory modules (PC2-5300) £15.49

If you need some cheap 1GB sodimm modules for laptop upgrades, these take some beating at the price:

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_11&products_id=102934

£15.49 each (edit: please note postage is £3.95)

I bought a pair a few weeks ago when they were £18 each, and I thought that was good. Be aware they are shipped from the channel islands, so take a few days (5 in my case) to turn up.

Never delt with 7dayshop before, so not sure what their cutomer service is like.

Needless to say the memory works fine in my laptop. Ran a memory soak running overnight with no problems. They are PC2-5300 modules, so check compatibility with your laptop before ordering.

Bought several times from 7day. Delivery is slower (unless you pay for the express) but service is fine.

Use a site like www.crucial.com/uk to find out what type of memory it takes. This is PC2-5300.

Oh, sorry, when I bought (which was a few days ago) I'm sure there was free delivery. I'll amend the title to reflect this. I think they are still probably the cheapest around.
  • Can anyone give me some advice please? My laptop takes PC 4200 DDR2 533MHz, I looked on Crucials website and it also says PC2 5300 but does not give the MHz value, is this automatically 667MHz for the 5300? Is it the wrong memory for me? I am useless I know, sorry!! Tried researching but getting nowhere!!
