Hiya. I would like to find out more about babysitting as a part time job for 13 year olds. My daughter is 13 and tbh she's always asking me for more pocket money. Now she wants to get into babysitting for neighbours etc. Do they need a certificate or take a babysitting course or anything?New year, new comper here!

I have used childcare.co.uk and found it to be helpful. I have found lots of babysitting work through them and like others have said, if you do a good job then more work comes from word of mouthEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0

It totally depends on the person. I would say 5 quid is a decent price per hour. Most babysitters tend to be underage so its ok. If you want to compare prices i would go on a tendea website and compare. :j0

Tabby Kitten, just be persistent with the notices in shops etc. If you can get references and have a CRB check put that on the ad as it's important to a lot of parents and will make them more likely to contact you. I do lots of babysitting and now it's mainly via word of mouth as parents tell other familiesn if they know a reliable babysitter.
Hi, I am new to this,
what is a CRB ?
what do you need to become a babysitter ?
would i need first aid too ?
I used to baby sit when I was a teenager and it's something we never could afford when our kids were small, but it's a definite money earner that's forgotten about.
