Hi I can not get the UK pinecone website homepage to work/ load, I cleared all my cookies the other day and have not been able to get the website to come up since then, has anyone else ever experienced this, and how did you solve it ? Is there an email contact for pinecone ? so I can let them know what has happened.

  • Hiya,
I wasn't sure where to post this so please move it if this is the wrong place.

I received an email today for a home of research survey, after i had attempted to complete the survey i clicked on my profile page and it took me to someone else's profile. I had access to her name, address, email address and date of birth etc.
I think this is totally unacceptable and will be cancelling my account after changing my profile details.
I have emailed the person whose details i had accessed accidentally and will be contacting home of research to complain too.
Just a warning guys - in this climate of identity fraud i think we need to be really careful.
    Hope this helps someone.

I have some doubts about this website as well, as had similar experience, and have completed a few surveys allegedly from them but received no points for their completion, sounds like their information storage is totally inadequate, I shall also be cancelling my account, as emailed and never received any reply.

Just done my first survey on Yougov - it seems OK but I guess I will be sent home insurance e mails by the dozen now.
Also got accepted by the Royal Mial survey today too. Things are looking up.

I think there is one called slice of the pie, which has something to do with the music industry but I know virtually nothing about it. There is also songpeople but this at present is not paid but you are entered into prizedraws for cds etc for rating music, there is something on their website that a reward system will be starting soon but nothing so far, I usually get asked to rate about 30 clips of music once per week, but think some people get loads more than that. Hope this info helps you a bit.
