    Confusing post.
What sort of help do you need?
Why are you unhappy with your current provider if they are helpful?
  • I put some money into my pension after lengthy correspondence, I then got a letter months later saying I may of gone over my pension allowance, after lengthy correspondence, I was told to ring tax office to find if I’d gone over, I can’t use phone so I asked the pension provider to ring for me, explaining my disability, they wouldn’t offer any help even though I can’t do it myself, I’m so angry

Neither your pension provider nor any other pension provider would be allowed to talk about your personal financial circumstances to HMRC without HMRC having received your permission - data protection. You cant blame the pension provider.

Do you have anyone else? Someone you know personally who could ring HMRC for you, pass the phone to you for you to give your permission and then talk on your behalf?
  • I don’t have anyone who could call for me, i said I would be quite for them to act as a advocate for me and would sign anything they needed, but they wouldn’t help, they new about my disability and my limitations when I started the pension but they never told me they couldn’t help me sort out any problems.

Can you write to the tax office? Or post the info here, what did you put in and when, what are your earnings etc. We should be able to tell you if you exceeded any limits.

Do you have or could you get a textphone or similar? Most government departments have numbers to access them.

Is your pension provider saying that you have contributed more to your pension ( and thus received more tax relief) than your "relevant earnings" permit?

Could you write to HMRC explaining what has happened?
