Friends Live/Aviva

I have got one Aviva pension and two Friends life pensions. I have tried to speak so someone about these as I can only see the Aviva pension on the Aviva website. After phoning I spoke to someone at Aviva who could see one of my Friends Life policies but not the other and gave me another number to call, which I did this morning, they couldnt find it either and gave me yet another number to call, who also could not find it ! I am very worried now that they may have 'lost' my pension ? Where do I stand? and who can i go to ...no one at Aviva/Friends life seem able to do anything.. my last statement from this account was October 2016.

Your pension will not be lost.

Whilst Aviva have rebranded Friends Life to Aviva, the Friends Life plans are still being dealt with out of their respective legacy company offices. i.e. if yours was originally an AXA Sun Life plan, then it is the Bristol office that you need to speak to.

The service on old Friends Life plans is absolutely abysmal at the moment. It is some of the worst I have ever experienced. That is the issue. Not your pension.
