If you have UK passport, are you entitled to work freely in any other non-EU country?

Non EU country? No of course not, why would they? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
No. In the same way that people from non EU countries can't just come to the UK and work - not work legally anyway. Countries such as Australia and Canada work on points systems and in general it's only possible to work there if there is a need which can't be filled by people already in the country.0

Actually UK citizens can work in any EEA country plus Switzerland, so that's all of the EU and Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and the aforementioned Switzerland.

Whether there are any other countries outside of the above where UK citizens have a right to work I can't say, but I'd suspect they will be few and far between if there are any.0 -
I was thinking places like Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, Australia etc that are part of the commonwealth union0

Hong Kong part of the Commonwealth? I thought it reverted to China in the late 1990's.0

Malaysia definitely not: the employer needs to apply for some kind of permit.Signature removed for peace of mind0

You won't be allowed to take a job in any of those countries simply by having a UK passport, and I doubt if there is any Commonwealth country that would allow it.
If you need further confirmation of that try watching any of the 'Border Security' series that run on various Freeview channels. About half of most programmes seem to be showing people being denied entry, or removed after entry, for trying to flout the employment laws of those countries.0
