Band 5 in NHS rebanded to a Band 6

Hi, I have a query..... I have been a band 5 for the last year in my new role and have recently had my banding rebanded to a band 6. This has been backdated to the 1st April 2017 and has been agreed and processed (thi is with a one point increment). My query is that my increment date is two weeks later from the 1st April (actually 19th April 2017). Will I still get the rebanding increment and then my normal increment (so in effect go up two pay points?).

I'd say probably not.
That's assuming you were not already top of band 5, which is higher than bottom of band 6 anyway0 -
I think the Band 6 will probably be considered as a new post and the increment applied to that.
Can't see them giving you an extra increment0 -
If I remember correctly you should have your increment date moved forward from 19 to 01 April. Don't expect two increments in one year!
Check with your HR consultant (or whatever they're called in your trust) for confirmation.0 -
Your band 6 increment supersedes any previous increment date.
I would query why your increment date is different to your regrade date.
It's a long haul up those AFC pay scales.0 -

I would agree that increment date should be one year on from retrograded date of band 6 re-grade.
Wouldn't agree that it's a long haul up the AFC. Mrs started off on band 3 6 years ago. She's now on 8a having got a new job each year of the next band up.0
