Here I go!

well... here i am.. ive been reading these threads for years but never really posted before...
finally facing up to my debts but first a little about me..

life was good, bills paid, 2 beautiful children and a partner, up until Feb 2016 when i was taken ill and had to have a full month off work unpaid as i had only been with the company a few months
Down by £1200 in that month hit us hard! well mainly me...

i had 5 credit cards, 5 catologues, phone contract and a loan, all of which got £0 payment for feburary/march as we had only just enough to pay prority bills rent, gas, elec, council tax, food etc

when it came to me coming back to work i had to work a full month to get a wage so didnt have money till april 2016, i managed to get 3 credit cards up to date but the rest i couldnt make up the payments so took out a payday loan to help try and pay something off (i know what an idiot) at the time i just panicked!
long story short ended up defaulting on 3 catologues, 1 credit card, 1 loan and the payday loan i got out to help pay the others i ended up defaulting on anyway... i was in a mess!

i currently have an arrangement to pay set up with the 1 catologue that didnt default as they were the only ones willing to accept lower payment.

i defaulted on 7 accounts 2 i have fully paid and are satisfied

current debts as follows

capital one £175 (payments uptodate)
capital one £193 (payments uptodate)
Vanquis £314 (payments uptodate)
Barclaycard £343 (payments uptodate)
Very £800 on 0% till Sept 2018 (payments uptodate)
JD Williams £1640 (Arrangement to pay £40 a month for last 8 months)
EOS Freemans £277 (defaulted payment plan of £1 a month)
EOS Look Again £517 (defaulted payment plan of £1 a month)
Lowell Aqua Card £974 (defaulted payment plan of £1 a month)
Lowell Three Mobile £769 (defaulted payment plan of £1 a month)
Wage Day Advance £365 (no payment plan as of yet account on hold)
SLL Capital £154 (was £915 they offered a final settlement of £154 paid £50 a month over 3 months! snapped there hand off)

Total debt £6520!

my plan is to pay off my upto date cards first as they are incurring interest and i want to pay as much as possible off them thats why payment plans are at £1 a month on other creditors, hopefully £400 a month on debt repayments if i work my backside off!

then i was going to ask each creditor for a settlement offer on each account to pay them off quicker and start saving instead of spending!

thats my plan and im sticking to it unless anyone has a better idea im all ears :)
