Tesco DOTD: Motorola F3 free with £20 calltime

The deal of the day from Tescos is that if you buy £20 airtime for tesco mobile (pay as you go) you get a free motorola F3 phone (including a tesco mobile PAYG sim)
Its not exactly a feature rich phone (the usual price at tesco is £19.97) but would do if you don't need the extras like bluetooth, camera, etc etc. Or as a spare phone in case your proper one breaks! I think it looks nice at least, not a big brick like the more simple phones used to look like.

I can certainly recommend Tesco mobile as a PAYG provider, they are ace.

have already checked this out, the airtime sells for roughly £15 on ebay and the Phones sell better if they are unlocked to any network. you might make £5-£9 for phone and credit after listing fees, final value fees and paypal deduction have been subtracted.
so you would need to sell roughly 200'000, but in doing so you would flood the market and the price would come down, plus im not sure tesco would even have 2000 of these phones to buy before 11.59am tomorrow.

I just ordered one of these. I am on tesco PAYG anyway, so use the airtime. Plus it is free delivery on all phone orders, and I used a £5 off a £20 spend code that was knocking around, so i got it all for £15. Can't complain at that.

Thanks Mr T. I'll probably flog phone on Ebay, or re-cycle for more clubcard points.

It's not misleading - you do get £20 of airtime + a free handset. Add both to your basket and the discount kicks in.

NB This is a VERY basic handset - but very good at it Can't really complain at the price!

I was thinking about doing the recycle/clubcard points thing but I'm just not sure I can bring myself to put a brand new phone in the bag... i think i need to learn to be more hard hearted! (or find someone with a crap old phone and do a swap!)
