Going out while off sick with anxiety/stress

I’m currently off work due to anxiety/stress and my friend has booked me an appointment at the hairdressers to help me feel a little better. Do you think this is acceptable while I’m signed off work?

Yes, it's fine. It's also fine to go out, go swimming, gym, cinema etc.0 -
Unless you get stressed or anxious when going to a hairdresser, then this is fine.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Its hard, because i know you probably feel anxious that someone will see you and say "oh they were out having a right old hoot" but i promise, it just wont be seen that way.
With anxiety and stress you have to try and do things that will help you, and if that means the hairdressers or coffee with friends go for it. :grouphug:
Just avoid posting online "im so glad i dont have to work and have all this time to do everything i want to":rotfl:0 -
That is so true Katapolt. I’m feeling anxious about going to the hairdressers as I know how judgemental people can be but sitting in the hairdressers being pampered when you’ve had a really tough time is completely different to working a full day. It’s hard as I can’t shake off the feelings of anxiety.0

Different strokes for different folks - I HATE going to the hairdressers and absolutely do not consider it a pamper session. I think I'd rather go to work!0 -
I understand where you are coming from but it’s just a cut a blow dry and the salon give you a free head and hand massage (very relaxing) and what I like is even client is quite separate to each other.0

Anxiety is a real a**e, but it can get easier to manage over time. ive been dealing with it for about 10 years, and the one thing i think matters more than all the books and CBT they send you on, is learn to be kind to yourself.
Give yourself a break, lord knows no one else will.0
